Confused HP 3390 fax/toolbox errors urgent

i have HP 3390 printer and i am getting errors with 2 things: 1 when i receive a fax , the tool box picks it up fine but when i click view fax, i get an error" you do not have the application to display pdf files..." i have updated to the new ver of acrobat reader, still get same errors.
Then i got an error with HP toolboxFX saying " it encounted an error, please restart all services for hp toolbox"
it was on a server, but was moved , to a local machine, and connected via usb, all server HP software was deleted and re installed to local pc.
any help?

Re: HP 3390 fax/toolbox errors urgent

If the machine was working properly before the move, I would verify that the newly installed drivers are the same ones, as there are a few to choose from for this machine.
Also, I would verify that the firmware is up to date.

Re: HP 3390 fax/toolbox errors urgent

A few things to check/consider...

Is Device manager clean in regards to the printer ? (no yellow marks)
Some of these drivers have an excruciatingly specific install procedure...was it followed ? (see the HP link for instructions if necc.)

There may be a needed Service (possibly HP) that was inadvertently turned off.

Re: HP 3390 fax/toolbox errors urgent

While we continue to work this out here, I would submit a support ticket with HP.
As you know, they, like everyone else have different support "tiers".
It may be more likely that your issue (ticket) gets to the correct desk using this method.
