HP psc 2210 Problem
I keep getting an error message "Remove and check cartridge" and I can't clear it. The cartridges are both relatively new and the unit had been working properly with these cartridges. They are HP, not off brands. But taking them out and re-installing them won't clear the error. I don't want to have to buy new cartridges, since there is nothing wrong with them.

Welcome to TSF
![]() Could be one of several things with that printer... Try holding down "Options" key, then press "Copy" key and see if that clears it. Last edited by jflan; 06-10-2007 at 06:43 PM. |

Re: HP psc 2210 Problem
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it, but no luck. After much fiddling around,I was able to override the error by going to the HP Director controls and printing my (black and white) image as a "color" picture. That told me it was the black cartridge that was being rejected, so I finally had to just give up and buy a new one, although there was no obvious problem with the old one. I had tried cleaning it, and it had just been used a day or two earlier and was not low on ink or clogged!
