lexmark x1190 problems
I have an Lexmark x1190 all in one printer and i am running win xp sp2. A few days ago i had to do a complete format on my computer and now my printer is coming up with all sort of problems. The software installs fine and i can print fine. However when i restart my computer windows loads up and i get a balloon in the system tray saying new hardware found (Lexmark x1100 Series). I then get a box pop up on the screen saying FOUND NEW HARDWARE, Cannot install this hardware, There was a problem installing this hardware, Lexmark x1100 series, The file cannot find the specified file, Click Finish to close this wizard. When i click Finish, the balloon pops up again and so does this box. It keeps on popping up when i click Finish. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled, i have also tried all my usb ports and i still have the same problem. I have downloaded the updates and still the same. The printer still prints but i cannot get rid of this box and it is becoming rather annoying. The only way i acn get rid of this is uninstalling the printer. Please i had been racking my brains and i cannot sort this out, so anyone would could help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. |

Re: lexmark x1190 problems
Hi,
First, Welcome To TSF. It could be that there is a new driver that you need to install for the printer. I have been on the Lexmark Website and here is the Driver. Just click and download it and then install it. For Windows XP Any Problems Just Ask. Have A Nice Day. Jaymie. Last edited by Jaymie1989; 05-27-2007 at 03:35 PM. |

Re: lexmark x1190 problems
Dell printers are rip offs of lexmark machines, i would look at my post at Dell Photo Printer 720 Not Communicating
the same idea applies to your printer. plus, lexmarks are famous for failures and feeding problems. there is a reason why it only costs £ 55.82. |
