Brother MFC-240c
I just bought a new Brother MFC-240c printer for my computer. I am currently having to problems with installation/setup. Ive got it up and running on the computer it's plugged into, but I can't print from other computers. I use the add printer wizard to add a network printer but the network computer has a problem with the driver. All computers are Windows XP (However the one with the printer is XP Media Edition if it makes a difference). I installed the printer following the setup guide, and used the disc that came with it. It is a usb printer. Any clue how I can get the printer running on our network?
Also another little problem. The computer I installed the printer on cannot start with the printer turned on. It just stalls at the boot screen. It does turn on with it off and then I just turn the printer on again when it's on. How can I fix it so I can start up with the printer turned on? Thanks for any help, Darkfox3393

Re: Brother MFC-240c
1. Is the driver installed on the machine that cannot access the printer ?
If not, try the network with the driver installed on the problem machine. 2. That's wierd. I would try refreshing (deleting/reinstalling) the printer's driver. Do it directly (off network) and add power and communication at the specified times during install. |
