Datamax Printer - no output
Hi
This is probably not even a hardware question - but humour me please! I have a Datamax printer, which is connected to a Win2k workstation via a serial cable and a usb > serial converter cable. The printer prints fine from Windows, but when printing from a Bartender validation programme, there is no output from that application. The output files are sitting in the correct folder, where a commander service is supposed to convert these file and spool them for printing, however, this is not working. Any help/advice would be appreciated! |

My first WAG would be that the validation program runs under DOS. If that's the case, it won't print to a USB port. USB printer ports are virtual ports rather than physical ports.
