HP 3310 cannot get the card reader to work

I just got the HP3310 photosmart. I have it hooked up wirelessly. I can not get the card reader to work. It readers the card but will not transfer them to the computer. I have worked with the HP techs several times over this and we get it working for awhile and then it stops again. Their thing is always uninstall and reinstall!!! YUK, YUK. Anyway when I try and transfer from the software that came with the printer it won't let me and then if I go straight to MY COMPUTER it says "The local device drive is already in use. This connection has not been restored." Like I said HP has walked me thru this problem as least twice so I have tried many things. Thanks for any help that can fix the problem and keep it fixed. Thank you for your time.

I have a linksys router and one I set it up manually and once thru the "Secure Easy Setup". It seems we can get it to work for a period of time and then it stops. It won't fax from the computer either. However it will print. Thanks again for any help. Jen

This is a very common problem the all in one printers. As far as i know, no one has found a way to make this work with a 3rd party print server.

The only way I have heard of to make this work is to buy a printer with built in wireles, like this one. http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en...51-391193.html

I understand. Your best bet is to plug it into a usb port of a pc.
Unless HP makes a wireless device for this printer, I don't think it will do more than print wirelessly.
