Epson R300 "paper is not set correctly"
Hi guys,
I have 2 Epson R300s and at yesterday both showed the following error on the printers lcd screen: "paper is not set correctly. Set the paper correctly, then press the maintenance button" It shows this after trying to load the paper, it pushes it forward a couple of times but won't grip it and take it through. The problem started when i was trying to print on fairly thick paper but ever since I have not been able to print on normal paper either. I have tried loading varying amounts of paper into the tray, restarting the printer, checking the wheels. Any ideas? Thanks, Leigh |

This printer has a limit to thickness of paper you can load. If you loaded something too thick it may have scretched out the rollers. Limits are:
Single sheets plain bond paper 0.003 to 0.004 inch (0.08 to 0.11 mm) 17 to 24 lb (64 to 90 g/mē) Envelopes 0.006 to 0.02 inch (0.16 to 0.52 mm) 12 to 20 lb (45 to 75 g/mē) You can also try loading just one page and see if it will feed that. You may be overloading the tray.
