Tray settings
I've been troubleshooting a Laserjet 4200 for the past month and Have run out of things to try. The situation is the user prints off of a mainframe session to this laser printer. But some of the reports need to be on yellow paper and the rest on white. The mainframe side(not my team) switched to a different type of printing and ended up requiring us to set the tray types. So we have tray 3 as color and tray 2 as white. The problems is, after awhile it will switch the tray setting back to factory quite often. I have no Idea what is causing it.
The mainframe team tells us that it is our problem. Before this switch there were no problems. Anybody know what would cause the printer to revert back to older settings? Could a print driver do something like this? The new way of printing is though a Windows server. Thanks in advance, Tom |
