How to find IP address for HP laserjet 2100tn
I need to get my computer and printer talking again - the computer sees the printer on the network but when I try to print, the icon shows a page printing and then disappears. Is there a way to get the IP address of the printer so I can manually add it to my printer utility? I can't find it in the manuals.

You can also find the IP address by scanning the entire network for "live" devices. I love Angry IP Scanner, and it's free. Google it and download, or go to:

If the printer has an external HP JetDirect print server, usually you can push the test button and it will print a test page with the IP address and other printer info.
If the printer has an internal HP JetDirect print server, usually you can print a config page from the printer front panel and it will provide details about the internal print server configuration. JamesO |
