Twenty dollar printer

Did anyone buy/order the Canon Pixma MP160 from Best Buy for $20? I ordered one, figured if no good it was only twenty dollars.

I did and it's ok. It has 1472 nozzles for printing and 600 dpi for scanning. It uses USB 2.0 so it's pretty fast. I've scan some photos and it's pretty fast, a lot faster then I thought it would be and the quality is much better then I thought as well.

The software is pretty good as well, the multiscan is a great feature, just be sure to put your photos on the scanner messly so it can detect that they are different.

A good scanner would be 2400 x 4800 so 600 dpi is not great by comparison but the MP600 is $200. I usually scan my DVD covers at 300 dpi so 600dpi is enough and I would hardly ever use 1200 let alone 2400 dpi.

The carts can be refilled if you're looking to save money on ink refill.

For $20 it's a steal and I used a $25 Gift card that I had been given so no cash was needed.

Thanks KnightCrawler.

I received the printer a few days ago, and need to find a place to put it, as I have a printer already. I'm thinking about running both units so I can use the scan and copy modes.
