HP LaserJet 4

Hey,

I was given an old HP LaserJet 4 today (lucky me, more clutter) anyway the person that gave it me had managed to missplace the Power and Data Cables, the data cable isnt really a problem as i have about a dozen or so of them, the power cable however is another matter, does the printer require a specific power cable or would it be happy with a Generic IEC cable?

It's a generic power cable...the same type as found on almost all PC's, monitors, and printers.

Thanks for the reply -
I realised that it was one of the Generic ones when i worked out that some how in the time it took for me to unplug the cable that had just been used in one room, and then plug it back in, in another room, the fuse in the plug had blown, hence why the printer wouldnt work

The old fuse in the plug for the UK!!

Would not have remembered that one.

Most of the US folks would not even begin to understand this one!

Correct. Here in the US, we don't have a fuse in the plug -- except for our Christmas lights (what a pain in the neck).
