networking a printer
This may be a dumb question, but is there a way to have a printer on a network without it being connected to a computer. I have a network that shares a printer. But you must have the computer that the printer is connected to on before one of the other computers can use it. What if the drivers were installed on all computers. Would that work?

If you get a printer with an ethernet port, you can just plug it into then network without spending the money on one of those.
