Television monitor turns off

I have a RCA TV, and the monitor turns off often and the red light blinks for some time (say 3 to 5 mts). It then turns on automatically or sometimes does not turn on for a long time. Then I switch off the TV and then switch it on after half an hour or so.

I have a stabiliser connected to the TV and the power is passed through the stabiliser to the TV. The stabiliser's output is on throughout and it is therefore, certainly not on account of power/voltage fluctuations.

How would this problem be resolved. I have addressed this issue on the RCA support also today and awaiting the response. In the meantime , thought that I could get some more support on this.

In all actuality, stabilizers and line filters aren't needed unless the utilities in your area are REALLY bad. How does it work without it?
