Power Supply Cables

I have been wondering this. Is it possible to cut off the cables that you do not use from your psu, (like the floppy power cable, etc), and like cover the end up with tape? will you power supply still work, or will it blow up, lol? I don't have a modular psu, and hiding all those cables is annoying

errrr.... I wouldn't recommend it nor do it. So, don't do it I can say.

Is it possible ? yes. There is a great risk of electrical short.

one thing you could do is cut off the end, cut out alot of the cable, and then resoder it back on. i dunno if you use soder, but something like that. so then you just have some really short cable =)

I don't recommend doing that...

If extra cords are a problem just get some zip ties and bind them up.
