My System

Hi

Please provide more info, Is e420 the model number?
What is the name brand of the computer?

This could be any number of things, does the computer beep at all?
Do any lights and fans start when you push the button?

Rick

Hi Rick,
thanks for your posting.

spec as follows:-
e machine 420 (purchased from pc world)
processor intel celeron 2.6ghz
memory 512mb DDR ram-PC2100
hard drive 80gb maxtor diamond max 16
graphics intel 845g integrated 64mb (initially), I upgraded to 128mb
motherboard trigem IM845GL

On start up there is no sound or graphics except for the message as described in my original email. There is no beeping noise. Lights/fans start up.

The system had been working fine at my mothers house. I brought it home, connected up cables, switched on, then this error appeared.

regards
minstrel

Open it up and make sure all the cards are seated correctly. Make sure to unplug it before reaching inside. Agp cards jumping out of the socket will often do this.
