Did you put the filters on your phones?

yea i put filters on the phone socket

theres the socket, a 2way adapter (so it splits the phone socket), and on each end of that adapter i put a filter, but the filter prevents the phone from ringing.
so i took the filter out

The filter is to stop the phone from interfering with the internet, not the other way around. Also, you only need a filter for the phone line, plug the internet connection straight into the socket.

When I had a 512k connection,i was getting about 54k,and going by karusho's speed, which seems to match mine, you should be getting just over 200k.Take the filter off and see if that has an effect.
