hjow to install comp power supply

hey people comp has been crashing recently and going to standby, so im goona put a new power suply in (more powerful) and cooling fans. when installing a power suply is it simple case of screwing it in and then connecting it to the mother board and hdd and cd drives or is it more complicating (anything with BIOS need to be done?) cheers

Assuming you aren't using a Dell it's easy. Simply disconnect all the wires from where they are plugged in. Some may not come easily, but a little side to side wiggle can help. NEVER YANK. The motherboard connector has a small clip on one side to lock it in. Press on that and pull to release it. When you unscrew the PSU it's best to have your hand under it so it won't go crashing through your system! Plugging in the new one is the opposite procedure. It's quite easy and can be done in less than 10 minutes. Let us know if you have any other questions!
