My Mouse is on Crack
I got a gateway computer that came with a laser mouse but it seems to be on drugs. Every now and then, it will just completely dissapear from the screen for a couple seconds. A better example is when im playing any FPS (ie: Painkiller) the mouse will go up into the corner and spin around...very very annoying. Just wondering if there is anything that i should do/can do to correct this problem.
lil more info: I do have 2 cats so it does pick up some hair in the laser part (damn cats) but i have cleaned that out numerous times with tweezers. dont know if this will affect mouse, but couldnt hurt to add. |

Mine does the same thing.
Cat hair can cause it. Mine is caused by dirt that builds up on the mouse pad. The sensor runs accross this stuff and loses reference for a moment. Try to keep it clean and use a mouse pad that is a solid, single color. It's a pain when it goes nuts in a game and you can't even tell which direction your facing. |

mouse spin
Thats what i call it, mouse spin. Its a pain when you're running along and using a button to guide in a game and it suddenly points you at the sky and spins crazily. I'm using an optical mouse and its on a wood veneer surface so maybe that's my problem.
