Recommend a Good Cordless Mouse

Can anyone recommend a good cordless mouse? Are they as good as the Hype? I am in the market for one and want to get some advice/feedback from experienced users.

Thanks

I actually bought about 4 of them at CompUSA. They had a special for the Microsoft Wirelles Intellamouse Explorer for $15.00. I have only seen them run the special twice.
I too was reluctant to buying one. Mainly because I didn't want to feed it batteries. However I was quite suprised with the battery consumption only being about 5 months. And I will tell you once you get one, you probably never go back. No more fighting with the wire.

I have used Logitech cordless mice for years. They make some now that recharge in the mouse base if you don't want to feed it batteries.

"you can have my logitech mx700 when you pry it from my cold, dead hand"

Got it for xmas last year and doesn't need batteries. A charge lasts for about two or three days and recharges fully in a couple hours. Recharges for a 30 minute usage in about 2 minutes for emergencies....heaven

Hi,

First of all, I have had several of these "rodents" through the years and they all do a pretty good job. IMO, the battery thing is a pain in the neck. Some of them do a good job of eating batteries, so you have to keep feeding them.

However, last year I found this Logitech Wireless Optical that has a charger. It is simply wonderful and I would highly recommend it over all the Microsoft and other products that I have used. I still have a wireless unit on my spare computer from Microsoft, but will replace it with a Logitech when I rebuild my next personal computer.

Therefore, get one because they are all great. IMO, the Logitech is way out in front in this technology.

Addendum: Might want to look at a total optical unit with keyboard and mouse together, because that is REALLY living.

I bought a Logitech mouse & keyboard for about $40 (delivered) I love it. Cordless keyboard is handy when I am trying to do something under my desk to my case, or when I need a place to write in my clutter, move the kKB, & walla! a clean spot. As for batteries, I have replaced all my batteries with NMIH rechargeables, my digital camera, cordless phone, even my toothbrush. When my batteries get low I trade them with my phone batteries, it sits on the charger most of the time anyway.

Seen, my friend has one of those wireless jobs and it makes it practically unbearable to play first person shooters because the pointer has to catch up with where you move it. It's a real pain in the neck, and I find that my corded optical is much more accurate- not to mention that as long as you keep some slack on the cord, it shouldn't present any problems.

Hi Remrod,

Not to prolong this thread with meaningless balterdash, but I just came across a link that has one of the high priced (cordless, recharging, laser mouse) ones on sale. It is a laser cordless mouse for gamers and while being a little high priced, this one is as I said, On Sale. Here is the link if you want to review it:
