no video on new home-built pc
I can't get a video on the pc I built last month. I swapped out the video card and still no video. The pc has power. The fans are running. The DVD drive opens. I double and triple checked the connections. I am not sure how to troubleshoot without a video. Please help. Thanks!

Try clearing cmos. If that dont work, strip everything out of the unit except
a stick of ram and video card. See if you get video, if so start replacing everything one piece at a time until you find the culprit. Double check that your mobo is not grounding out on the case anywhere, it is sometimes best to remove mobo from case, set it on the box the mobo came in. But with the specs you listed which were none Im just shooting out possiblities. Could be your power supply is not ample. Double check cpu. Sometimes by merely reseating cpu the problem will go away. Good luck,, |
