Funny Noise Freezing My Computer Up
My computer has been acting up and finally went out on me a little while ago. It would make this winding noise and freeze up after being on for an hour, then 30 minutes, 15 min, and now it freezes during start up. At first I thought it was the hard drive, so I put a different one in, but the same thing happened after I had it running for 30 minutes. I opened the case and listened for the noise and it sounded like it was coming from the power supply. So I replaced that, but that didn't fix it either. So it's not the power supply, or a drive, and I have no idea what could be causing the computer to freeze. It will make a destinct noise for a few seconds and then freeze immediately. Does anybody have any suggestion or ideas as to what else could be causing this?
Thanks! |
