Computer on Nightshift

Just recently my computer has been starting up all on its own. It only does this a night time. There is never any messages to say why it is doing it or what its communicating with. I have zonealarm software and no viruses are being detected. Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this? How do I make it stop? I have been unplugging my computer at night to prevent it running all night. CJ

May be task manager,,anti virus update, something, But there would have to
be a setting in bios,,something like wake on lan. Take a look in bios, look
in power management, browse around

Manic is headed in the right direction. Most modern PCs have basic self awareness that will allow them to power on when instructed, even if fully shut down. The BIOS should have a option that says something along the lines of "power on by alarm."
