My power supply just went pop
There is was playing along nicely and suddenly there was a pop a flash of light and all the electricity in the house went off.
Im hardly an expert in this sort of thing but im guessing this was bad. It wont turn on (duh) and ive tryed fitting a power supply out of an old computer and that wont work either. My motherboard is an Abit KD7-S which has a ATX2 power connector on it but my spare powersupply doent have that (but the manual says you dont have to connect anything to the ATX2 conector). What im realy wondering is are my motherboard and stuff fried? it doesnt look or smell fried. |

First things first, have you checked the fuses/circuit breakers of the house? Secondly, have you tested the outlet? beyond that it could likely be a fried board, but it's not always obvious.
