Confused A Disk Read Error Occurred

i took both my hard drives, my cd/rw, dvd drive, and floppy drive out of my old pc. put all of it into my new pc, and i get this message: a disk read error occurred. press ctrl+alt+del to restart. it wouldn't even go through the post.
so i took everything out of the new pc, put it back into my old pc and it booted up just fine.
i took a hard drive, cd-rom drive and a floppy drive i had laying around the house, put all that into my new pc, damn thing booted just fine. so if anyone has any suggests please email me at wrongway99amr@yahoo.com
thanks
