Hi,

We need more information about your computer, like which motherboard, CPU, video card, memory, etc. etc. ect. What you are hearing is a beep code that tells you what might be wrong with your setup. If we know more about your computer, we might be able to run down which error it is. The number and sequence of beeps usually tells what the error is, but unfortunately, not all manufacturer's have the same beep codes and that is why we need to know what yours is.

My System

I think the Biostar NF4UL-A9 uses the AMI BIOS. You can check this at the top or bottom of the first screen when you reboot.

From www.sysopt.com/biosbmc.html
10 beeps = CMOS Shutdown Register Read/Write Error
Send System Board in for Repair

The closest I can find to 10 beeps for the Award BIOS is
Repeating (endless loop) = Memory error
Check for improperly seated or missing memory

Do you get the beeps when you first power-on or after Windows has started?

im not positive that its Award BIOS, but it has Award BIOS with 3 of the beep codes...

and it beeps when i turn it on and its doing all its memory checks n stuff...

also it might be the AMI BIOS...
for some reason programs dont detect that i have a built in ethernet, yet im still able to connect to the internet...

Definetly sounds like a RAM issue here. Is windows seeing a full 1GB of RAM? Even if it could only read one stick then the virtual memory issue would still be absent. Try swapping the sticks out if you can.
