Promise FastTrack SX4000

Upon boot up, the card runs and scans the for IDE drives, with the rotating line and all. Then it stops and all that is left is a flashing horizontal line on the right hand side of the screen, I've hunted forums to find a solution, but I couldnt find one.

Please help,

I might of been a little small on detail...

The PC boots up and shows the BIOS results and what have you, and then it goes to the BOIS boot of the card.

It shows the Company name, Card Brand, BIOS version and so on.

It does it little scanning for IDE Drives bit, with the spinning line and dots, then when it is done, all that im let with on the screen is the Company name, Card Brand, BIOS version and so on and only a single flashing horizontal line on the right most side of the monitors screen.

When I first booted it up it was searching the floppy for the disk; but I had to shut it down for another problem (fixed now), and when I booted it back up it dosent search for a disk in the floppy, it just sits there, with the line blinking.

Anyone if you can help me, please do so. it will be greatly appreciated.

Ive had a little development.

The flashing line dosent appear anymore, but the floppy drive spins around with the RAID card disk in it.

But it still wont load the Fast Build Utility software on the disk, It just spins the floppy continuously, without loading anything.

Please and sugestions or comments would be appreciated.

im not actually sure what your tryin to do but a suggestion is that alot of 'older' model pc's wont boot if there is a floppy in the drive. btw be a bit less vague here
