Memory: Same name, different sticks?

About a week ago I got my parts for my computer build from TigerDirect and put it together successfully. Well it turns out the 512MB isn't enough for what I want to do with my computer so I search for another 512MB stick. I heard you shouldn't mix different brands/types of memory so I search for the same stick I got from TigerDirect and found it at my local Circuit City. Lucky me! Well I buy it and put it in and it works but when installing I notice they look alot different. The black squares aren't lined up the same, the edge of the stick looks different (one smooth, dark green... one rough, light green) and the sticker is even different. All the information is the same but they look different. Both are Kingston ValueRAM 512MB PC3200 (KVR400/512R).

Is there anything wrong with this? Does this happen often?

I'm not worried, I'm just baffled. Please unconfuse a man.

Thanks - Kevin
