QUick question about wireless optical mouse.
I bought a new wireless desktop set the mouse uses 2 alkaline batteries and was wondering why the mouse doesnt shut off after a certain period of time, or why the mouse doesnt turn off even after I shut the computer off. I was thinking if thats how it is supposed to be then this is a big waste of batteries. If anyone knows a solution please post because I have been resorting to taking out the batteries when I am done...!

I have used this type mouse for a couple of years. I do not think it uses all that much power in standby mode. It bugged me at 1st also that the light stayed on, but the batteries last as long as my old ball style wireless mouse. Do keep a couple of batteries on hand. When it goes dead, there is no using the mouse until you feed it a new set of batteries.
You could get some rechargeable batteries. That way you do not have to keep buying batteries.
