what is this problem?

I installed a game for my nephew, it loaded fine of the CD and it shows as being installed onto the computer but when he tried to play the game, it shows an error message as "missing dynamic library link....windows2000...,etc" what is this error? how can I solve this problem? thank you

The game is missing a .dll file.

Try uninstalling the game and doing a full install of it again.

Also, could you identify which game it is please?

uninstall the game, then reinstall it with all your services turned off. make sure you are free of spyware/viruses beforehand.

I did uninstall and reinstall the game "Kar Racing" it's a multi-pack set of games, the other games play properly, only the racing game doesn't?
someone told me I might have to reinstall Windows 2000, is this true?
the computer is not connected for online service, so no spyware/ firewalls are installed in computer? any other suggestions besides the uninstall/reinstall the game? thanks again

Go to the game manufactors web site. They may have a fix for this.

I emailed the software game company and was told that I needed to install DirectX 9.0c, which I did and still no go, then was told that the computer needs an ATI or Nvidia based video accelerator card, what is a good low cost one? the computer is an Intel Celeron unit, is it worth upgrading the card? thanks
