+3.3v Rail very low...

Hello.

I've just bought myself a new Sapphire Radeon x800 XT Platinum Edition card, and before it arrives, I was studying my PSU, which I most probably will have to replace shortly.

I downloaded MBM earlier, and saw that my 3.3v Rail is operating at an average of 1.93V. Is this bad?

This is mainly out of interest, as I'm getting an Antec 400W PSU soon anyway (only the best for me!)

I seriously believe the program is either reading the reported values incorrectly or the sensor isnt functioning right. At that value your PC would more than likely not work anymore.

You could try another program (speedfan - my signature) or check in your BIOS just to see what is reported there.

Depending on your hardware configuration it would probably be a good idea to invest in a quality PSU anyways if you want a stabil system. These high end video cards are very power hungry.

Try the PSU calculator (in my signature) and add 30% to figure out your basic power need - or add 40-50% if you want a little headroom for future upgrades and added stability.

Well, I checked speedfan (I've had that program for ages, but rarely use it as I can't control my fan speeds with it - have to use the Intel Desktop Control Centre), and it reports it as just under 3.2v

I check that tool out a few days ago - Worked out at 313W, but as I say, I'm getting a nice Antec 400W :D
