My PSU/ New PSU?
My PC is very loud.. Is this noise coming from the PCU? Or the other fans on the motherboard.. I have been thinking about getting a new PSU for a while now as i am currently using a 350w. could somebody post some guidelines and things i should look out for when getting a new PSU, or will i need a new CPUfan, to quieten the pc..
Thanks. |

I think it would be a good idea to open the case and actually listen what fan makes the noise. Its pretty simple to pinpoint.
When it comes to power supplies you really need to buy quality. There are many brands that are considered quality - but IMO you cant go wrong if you buy Enermax or Antec. Now i dont know your systems specs in order to figure out how much power you need - but you can try the PSU claculator in my signature and then add 30% to get to the value you should buy - or 40-50 if you want to have enough room for future upgrades. Either way i wouldnt buy anything less than 450W-500.
