Monitor contrast keeps changing
Running both HDDs
New HDD- Maxtor 200GB Diamond Plus 9 Old HDD seagate ultra 30GB Computer- Dell 2350, P4-2.1GHZ , 768mb of memory, a cd rw drive, floppy drive, DVD-rw drive, windowsXP. I recently changed my hard drive. When I rebooted a window popped up asking "Would you like windows to optimize your(monitor) settings?" I clicked yes. After that my monitor wallpaper was washed out and faded. At first I tried adjusting the physical monitor controls using the monitor buttons with no result. I tried reverting to factory defaults with no results. I removed the last monitor driver and the color readjusted but everything was twice as big and I couldn't change it. I restored the driver with my old HDD. Now I change the settings in monitor settings in the control panel. I get the monitor to appear the way I want it to but when I restart, the monitor settings revert to the washed out and faded appearance. Yes, I click apply and ok. What should I do so the settings remain?? |
