Monitor Jitters

Sometimes my monitor will freak out and the screen will jitter and the sides will sorta get fuzzy, then it's back to normal.

Well - could be a video card or monitor issue. Do you have the chance to try the monitor on a different PC to know for sure which component it is ?
Also make sure all connections are securely plugged in and there dont seem to be any lose pins in the plug. See if "wiggeling" the plug lightly seems to create the jitter or has no effect.

Heh. Loose connection was probably the problem. I'll check back if it happens again.

If you tend to move your equipment often it's a good idea to use the retaining screws that most device connectors have. I'm also turning and rotating my monitors and before I regularly used the screws on the cords I'd also have to crawl behind my PC and plug things in or stare at a blue picture or something random.
