Radio Shack Speakers
My Radio Shack speakers wont work.. The only print on them is where it has "digital" engraved on the top. They are plugged in and they worked before but they randomly decided to stop one day; Nothing out of the blue caused it and it isnt anywhere in the hardware list. I dont understand why its not there, when it was my defualt speaker before. Does anyone know how to add this back into the hardware? No CD or information came with it.
On the bottom of the speaker it says: Portable Amplified Speaker System Cat. No. : 40-1431 Power Supply : 4 X "c" Batteries or Adaptor : 9V DC, 600mA If anyone knows anything I can do, please help me out Thanks! Last edited by ski2963; 06-08-2005 at 09:18 PM. |

Plug the speakers into a portable audio player to make sure they work and determine if the problem is the computer or the speakers. Batteries low?? Start, Settings, Control Panel, Sound and Multimedia, make sure Volume is not down, and make sure the box is checked to show volume control on the task bar. Go to the Audio tab and click on Volume to bring up the Volume Control. Make sure volume is up and not muted. Go to the Advanced tab and make sure you are properly configured, probably Desktop Stereo Speakers. Maybe an sound driver issue?? Start, Settings, Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager, Sound, video and game controllers. Make sure nothing appears to have a yellow ! next to it. JamesO |
