A friend sent me something called fraps which apparently lets you video screen capture, I installed it and clicked the fraps icon, however it does not start, I see in processes that fraps.exe is there for about 1 second and then it disappears. The strange thing is that after installing it on my old computer it works, only on this computer it doesnt. IS there some kind of logical reason why it should do this? I have tried to uninstall and reinstall etc but still the same.

I also have the same problem and I know what the problem is if you ever installed fraps trial and then a registered version of fraps it wont load up due to some bug in there program I actually contacted fraps themselves and they said they don’t have any way to fix it I ended up having to format my computer down the road due to a virus that I couldn’t get rid of. Note: So after that I installed fraps retail 2.5.5 and it ran perfectly fine the program has protection and after you install the trial your not going to be able to install the retail for some reason they cause conflicts due to some bug. |

I was able to go from the previous version (can't remember the number) to 2.2.5 without a hitch. Best course is to simply uninstall the old one and delete the folder that it was in if the installer didn't or can't. I'm fairly certain that it can run fine even if from a disk of jump drive.
----------------------- Ok, I just installed the latest client. I'll report on the upgrade.

I installed the 2.5.5 trial version and so far I'm running good. I'll need to purchase the full one for more info but so far I'm getting nice results.
