New Comp startup..
hey,just got finished building my new comp and loaded it up."error loading os"
i know i dont have an os on it yet but cant you still config bios and then install the os if you boot from master.if not will i have to stick my new hd in my old pc and install xp on it then put it in the new comp? any help would be appreciated |

You need to press "delete" to enter BIOS as the machine starts for most Computers but some use other keys like F6 etc.

What the previous posts didnt mention is that there you have to make sure that your boot order has to be set to something like FLOPPY, CD, HDD - with the CD drive before the harddrive. Then you insert your OS disk into the CD/DVD drive and boot from it and follow the installation instructions and complete the installation. You cant boot from "master" (primary harddrive) untill you have a OS installed on it.
