What you need to do is press PrtScn just like Norin said - this creates a screenshot of your screen and places it into the temporary buffer used for all other "Copy and Paste" instructions you do in "every day" windows life.
Then you need to open a graphic program: Windows Paint, Photoshop, etc and either create a new file or just go to EDIT paste - and the program will create an imagine file from the buffer automatically. It works just like going to a website - viewing a picture, clicking on it saying "copy" and then pasting it into a image editor.
