A friends computer keeps on crashing
Hello how are you all,
My friends computer keeps on crashing, im not very familiar with 64 bit systems but maybe someone else is. His specs: AMD 64 2800+ 1gb ram(not sure what exactly but i can ask) 120gb harddrive LanParty Mobo(with sli) Nvidia 6800GT PCI-E Now i would say it has something to do with the ram but as far i can see thers nothing wrong with it. Its standard ram DDR 400 running at 200mhz?!? From older AMD systems i know your ram needs to be the same speed as ur FSB. Not sure how this works with the 64's as the FSB is on the chip and the same as the frequency off the CPU. If any one got any suggestions or ideas or what ever please post it thx

If the RAM is running at 200Mhz then thats correct.
Could you describe the nature of the crashes a bit more please - when they happen, what happens etc. There are still a lot of possibilities - and the only way to narrow them down is to know when something and what exactly is going on.

You could start with the basics, run one of these overnight to eliminate memory issues.
