Import Computer

My g/f brought her computer with her on a visit here to the US (from Switzerland). She did not bring her power cords, so I was wondering if I could either, get a US power cord and just use that, change the whole power source to one here, or buy a European power cord and a converter. So far to test it with the monitor I just used a US power cord and the monitor works fine (using it right now with my current computer) Just want to know if I can do the same thing with the computer itself. Thank you for the help.

So its a desktop i assume ? If yes you first need to switch the power supply to 120V (if that is indeed the voltage your outlets provide - which i think is US standard). After that you can just use any US power cord that plugs into the back of the power supply.
