i am using sony 128mb usb memory pendrive which somehow went to raw file system and i cant use it,
i tried reformatting to fat it says not done. i did thro device manager also by following method but still it says formatting incomplete and i cant use it anymore. do i need to throw it in dust bin or can i use it some how. the steps done were, I actually solved the problem on my own so I'll help you out. before this works make sure your computer see's the drive This means that it shows up under "My Computer" as an f: drive or whatever Second make sure it's hooked up and third this might only work in XP Right click "My Computer" and select "Manage" When the new window comes up on the side bar select "Disk Management" Find you disk and right click it, select format and follow the wizard format it in either FAT or FAT32 This will destroy any data you have on there though . STILL I AM NOT SUCEESFUL. |

hey. Your post was sorta confusing, but judging by the last line, you didn't get it to work. When usb sticks's go Raw and don't format, it is usually because there is an error in track 0. There are no utilities to fix this on a usb device, so you probably have to send it back to them.
