monitor to pc connection problem. Plz help
I have a gateway pc and just today I started having problems with my monitor connecting to my pc. its a 21.5inch HD monitor with vga, dvi and hdmi ports on it. I hooked up my ps3 to the monitor last night to play some games and left it hooked up over night(for the first time) then this morning the monitor wouldnt switch back to the dvi port. so i restarted and unhooked my hdmi and ps3. this worked for a little bit, but i left and came back and clicked the enter key and it wouldnt come back on again. my ps3 will connect to the monitor fine, but i think something happened to my actual pc. I tried hooking it up through the hdmi and vga into my pc but none of that worked. when i tried to change the source it just said "no signal" and turns black. I took my tower and tried to connect it to my tv via the hdmi and i couldnt get anything to work. Idk if this will help but I noticed that the usb mouse doesnt turn on when i tried to connect it to the pc.
any help would be awesome, I dont want to have to take the power back and get a new one because i cant even get my recent data off it.( I know, i should've backed up) |

Re: monitor to pc connection problem. Plz help
yes, the power signal shows on the tower as well as the monitor. I tried another monitor and it still reads "no signal"...im guessing something happened to the video card, but i dont understand how.
