Computer wont come on

the computer is getting power but nothing on the monitor,no beeps when i turn it on,cpu fans and other fans coming on,power light which is usually green is orange...sometimes i have to take out the ram and put it back in and i get the beep and it starts up normal...it seems to be the only way i can resolve the problem...can i get some answers as to why that happens in the first place and why when i take out the ram and place it back then the computer comes on
