Best Cost/Value/Resolution WebCam suggestions!?

Hi everyone

I'm looking for a 720p minimum Webcam to use for (but not exclusively) with Skype; and was hoping someone with experience or that knows a friend with one, can offer a suggestion? I've always come to TSF for pre-purchase advice and it's always been solid!

I'm looking for something to pair up with my dual-core HP WinXP laptop through USB 2.0, that can deliver HD smooth video recording, and although a nice 'ride-along' feature of a quality built in Mic is nice, it is NOT needed since I have microphones/voip headset that is great.

PS: Aside from using this WebCam for Skype every now and then, I will be doing video blogging with it, and will need to somehow insert a background behind me; if I hang a sheet and have a uniform color behind me, can't I somehow use a program to produce a "blue-screen" injected CG image behind me as the backdrop?

The resolution that you can use is dependant upon your internet upload speed.
