[SOLVED] Jittering

Hi,
I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate and it was working perfectly, just like the RC I used for a few months. However, for the past few days, even at the desktop the PC seems to jitter. Every second or so it will freeze for a millisecond. Its never done this before, and I have the latest drivers for graphics card and motherboard. I recently unplugged one of my dvd drives as it seemed to be faulty but I haven't plugged it back it.

Is there anything other than older drivers I can try, since I already tried this, except re-install of windows since its only a week old or so?
Thanks in advance.

Spec:
Windows 7 Ultimate
Intel E8400 3.0GHz
Inno3D 9800GTX iChill
Asus P5N-e SLI
4GB 800MHz RAM
640GB HDD (320x2) - Not even half full.

Re: Jittering

Colors-IT model 750U. I think it maybe one of the RAM sticks or slots. I have removed a 2GB stick and it seems to have took the jitter away. It runs slower obviously and I don't have any other sticks to test or another computer to test the RAM in. I will try it in other slots, and try the removed one on its own.

Re: Jittering

Run MemTest on ONE stick of RAM at a time.

Re: Jittering

Stick 1 test run fine. I will try stick 2 in same slot, and then if no errors put both in. If I find that both sticks are ok and one of the slots are faulty, I can just put them into the other slots, they are in A1&A2 so I can put them in B1&B2 can't I?

I will run test on stick 2 tommorrow as im off to sleep. I think this is US forum but i'm in UK and its almost midnight :P

Re: Jittering

I've put both back in this morning, in the same slots as before. Everything seems fine. Very strange how I just put it back and theres no jittering. I hope it doesn't come back since MW2 is here in few days!!
