Single click mouse double click effect
When I single click, for example, in Ms Word on a single word, the whole word is selected as if I had double clicked.
The same happens when I exit a program with the red cross -- I often find that two programs have been closed down. I tried Control Panel > Mouse > click speed (no difference) or > properties > no fast initializing (no difference). I tried another mouse on the USB port (no difference). ![]() Windows XP Home Ed. Mouse: optical. A Open. |

Re: Single click mouse double click effect
Steve1234 Please tell me where in mouse properties do I get the 'switch primary and secondary buttons' field. I have installed Microsoft mouse software, hoping this will sort out my problem (although I do not have a Microsoft mouse).

Re: Single click mouse double click effect
Sorry Steve. When I open mouse in control panel, the button 'Buttons' is open. It says 'to change a button assignment, click a command in the list'. No where does it say anything about switching primary and secondary buttons.
