Dell Questions
hi i just recently received a dell computer from a friend of mine. i have a computer i built from the ground up to. But i want to use it as a back up computer. Its not new it has no monitor she broke it during a move. None of my monitors hook up to it that i have and also the computer when you turn it on it shuts off in like 4 seconds then in like another 3 seconds it will magically turn its self back on over and over until you pull the power plug, is this because i don't have the correct monitor or is there some other issue here. The on button does pop in an out so its not the button.

Re: Dell Questions
It sounds like a power problem. Open the case and check all the power connections and reseat everything to be certain nothing got dislodged during the move. Could be a failed PSU also.
