Speakers and Headphones Screeching
I broke my USB headset (The cord got ripped up) so I switched to analog speakers and headphones. However, they both emit a screeching sound when plugged in, and don't actually emit any sound the computer is outputting. I highly doubt my sound card is to blame because my USB headset worked fine yesterday. I have the latest sound drivers and everything. Any ideas?

Re: Speakers and Headphones Screeching
Try another headset or set of speakers. And it's possible the sound card is just bad. Since a USB headset doesn't use the actual sound card output.
