keyboard not working

I have a serious keyboard problem,it just stopped working one day,control panel doesnt recognise any problem, tried other keyboards,tried reinstaling drivers, nothin works. my system is pent3 866 128ram asis mboard,Me operating system, Ps2 ports.No lights activate on the keyboard.Mouse also plays up occassionally. currently using onscreen keyboard.Keyboard has on a couple of occassions come back to life, but only temperarily.can anybody help.

Try a USB keyboard.
