Grin ThinkPad 760XL Error Code I9990301,305

I know I've seen this problem before, but I haven't seen the fix...At boot, after count, there's a pic of a floppy and arrows pointing to F1..when pressing F1, boot continues and these error codes appear...I have an external FDD and have tried booting to Dos, PPKing and Delpart..but pc will not see it...keeps telling me 'nonsystem disk'....cannot enter BIOS nor get to a CMD prompt..I'm just out of ideas, and I've got to fix it, else I fall off my 'computergirl pedestal'
