LCD TV sound issue
So I bought a LCD TV that connects to my computer, using a HDMI to DVI-M cable I connected it and voila all was well and sound was working.
Then I decided to plug in my computer speakers to the TV and it made a weird noise. Then decided to cease all sound activity. Believe me, I have tried all manner of things from unplugging and replugging in, to shut downs and restarts and tried to configure it in sounds and on the tv and all manner of combinations of the just mentioned. How can I get my TV to play the computer sound again? |

Re: LCD TV sound issue
The TV can't play computer sounds without an audio output from the computer into the TV. It won't work with just the one cable. A DVI cable does not carry audio channels, it is video only. You will likely need to connect the Line Out of your audio card to the audio input of the TV. The PC connection will be a stereo 3.5mm male connector, the TV connection will be stereo (RED/WHITE) RCA connectors.
